A member asked:

I am71yrs old the doctor prescribed 0.5mg lorazepam twice a day - am i safe having them with 10mg of temazepam at night and tramadol 50mg 3timesa day?

Safe? Yes.: Lorazepam and temazepam are both in the class of benzodiazepines. Both work by the same mechanism. Lorazepam is shorter acting and 0.5 mg is a low dose so probably appropriate for daytime use.

Check meds: Temazepam is dispensed in 15 mg or 30 mg.. please recheck your meds.. Should be ok, but do not drive or operate equip if you feel light headed. Both of these meds are addictive.. there may be safer options..
