only: Only if your dr prescribed it this way. They may potentiate side effects; you should consult your dr before. Best of luck.

A female asked:

I took 100mg of tramadol at 430 p.M. Is it ok 2 take .5 mg of ativan (lorazepam) at 11 p.M.

Yes: Tramadol and Ativan (lorazepam) do not interact. They both can cause somnolence (tiredness), so you need to be careful not to take both and become a zombie. If you are taking both of these medications on your own, i suggest you consult with your doctor. There may be more optimal ways to treat pain or anxiety.
A 46-year-old member asked:

Can ativan (lorazepam) increase the effects of tramadol?

Not much: The benzodiazepines have some muscle relaxation properties and this may work together with the tramadol to decrease pain although they work primarily through different biological mechanisms. Stay safe!
