I've had awful pain in the right side of my face (jaw, teeth, gums) for the past three days. can this be tn although the pain is constant rather than sudden? 50 mg tramadol did not help very much.

See your doctor: You should see your doctor or dentist for evaluation. There are several possibilities that cannot be narrowed down with the information you gave. A physical exam will be necessary.

Unlikely TN: Constant pain and short duration is against TN. Most likely the pain is from jaw, teeth, sinus, gum or TMJ (the jaw joint in front of the ear). 50 mg Tramadol is very low dose. Go with anti inflammatory medications (NSAIDS) like Ibuprofen, Motrin, Advil, Aleve, (naproxen) and Naproxen. If no stomach issue, take up to max dose given by manufacturer. Get examined by your primary MD
