Absolutely not!: Norfloxacin is a fluoroquinolone and should not be used in pregnancy unless benefit far outweighs the risk of fetal defects. The birth defects are most common in the first trimester - which you have completed. I don't know why your doc recommended that? There are safer alternatives for pregnancy -such as amoxicillin. If it's loose BMs you have azithromycin might be best. It's pregnancy category B
