Only during symptoms: "hypogycemias" are real in diabetic patients that take too much medication or don't eat after taking medications. Unless there is tumor producing low glucose (insulinoma) most people keep normal levels of glucose even while starving. If you recover from your symptoms quickly with the fruit or juice is possible you have real hypoglycemia but is better to prove &measure it ( must be less than 60 ).

Yes: If you are truly hypoglycemic, 4 oz (1/2 cup) of juice or regular soda will help. Other good alternatives are 2 tablespoons of raisins, 1 tablespoon of honey or corn syrup, 5 saltine crackers or 6 jelly beans. It is very important to find out the cause of the hypoglycemia (if you even have it at all).
