Hydronephrosis: It is not uncommon for the diagnosis of hydronephrosis (large kidneys) to show up on prenatal ultrasounds. Generally speaking, these are followed throughout the pregnancy and postnataly (after the baby is born). In most cases, this is of no significance and resolves by the time the baby is born.
