Make a plan: Hi. Talk with your doc about diabetes, get diabetes education, start eating healthily and exercising regularly. Take your diabetes meds. Don't smoke. Control your blood pressure and cholesterol (your doc will give you medicines for these). By controlling all this, you greatly lower the risk of blindness, kidney failure, amputation, heart attack &b stroke, etc.
