What is hypoglycemia?

Low blood sugar: Hypoglycemia means low blood sugar. It may be an isolated incident related to not enough food intake or a metabolic problem related to bad glucose metabolism. Reactive hypoglycemia results when you eat sugar, your Insulin is released in response and then drives the sugar too low. This is the most common form.

Low blood sugar: However, most people who have symptoms attributed to "low blood sugar" do not have true hypoglycemia. If you have symptoms that you attribute to hypoglycemia see your doctor.
