Navicular necrosis: Kienbocks disease is a cystic degeneration of the navicular bone in the wrist due to abnormal forces applied to the bone, usually by the radius. Typical treatment involves radial shortening, revascularization of the navicular, bone grafting or partial wrist fusion. Immobilization by itself would not be effective in almost all cases.
