Keinbock's is a: Wrist and hand problem where the lunate, a carpal bone, undergoes a vascular insult or avascular necrosis and the bone literally " dies". It is associated with discomfort and pain in the wrist. Treatment is dependent upon level of discomfort and stage or degree of involvement . In some instances radial shortening is thought to "decompress" the lunate and improve mechanics and blood flow.
