please tell me if an enlargement of 1 cm of the aorta dangerous?

1 doctor answer
Dr. Bennett Werner

Depends: It depends on what part of the aorta, whether there are symptoms, what the absolute size is, what the size of the patient is, and the rapidity of enlargement (if known). Family history and presence of Marfan's or pregnancy matter too.
