A member asked:

What happens if the person is bloodgroup a, why doesn't he/she have an antibody in their plasma(which we all know) but what is the reason?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Tolerance: This occurs through what is called "tolerance" where your body exposes B-cells and T-cells to your cells and renders those that react non-reactive or kills them. This keeps your body from mounting an immune response (including producing antibodies) to your own cells, including your blood cells.
