Not a good idea: Naproxen is a nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drug that can cause gastritis and gastric ulcer and bleeding. Food is a temporary antacids, but if one is on naproxen daily It would be important to protect the stomach with a proton pump inhibitor such as prilosec.
