Varies : It varies somewhat based upon your activity level to date, you certainly don't want to injure your self. If you have not exercised at all and are inactive in general, 30-45 minutes would be plenty. You can also calculate your maximal heart rate to monitor your degree of exertion as well. In general, 220-your age is maximal heart rate and you may want to shoot for about 60 percent of that.
