Yes and no: malignant lesions arising in the bladder are common. Depending on size and depth of penetration into the muscular layer of the bladder one can predict response. Lesions of bladder lining can be handled by intravesicle installation of chemo or BCG, fulguration for those that begin to penetrate and those in the muscle of bladder wall , some form of resection if not cystectomy.
