Reason for stress ts: When you exercise, your heart must work harder and pump faster. It requires a richer blood supply. At rest, you may be fine and your EKG may be normal. With exercise, your heart may be having trouble and your test may turn abnormal. That's the idea behind a stress test and that's why they're done.
