A member asked:

What do you suggest if my child has irregular menstruation.?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It depends: Many girls have irregular menses in the first two years after starting their periods. That's normal. If they are still irregular after that time, check with your pediatrician, or get a referral to a GYN doctor. I would particularly be concerned if the periods are excessively heavy or very frequent (ie. every 2 weeks).
