The menses: Can vary between people; some are 35 days some people have them 35 days. If they are off your regular interval that is an irregular period. It can happen then get back on track. Pregnancy can cause irregular menses. Three months of no period without pregnancy needs evaluation. This is called secondary ammennorea.
