Common treatment: Recurrent keloid scars can be very challenging to treat. Kenalog (triamcinolone) - a steroid- is very commonly used to help prevent the regrowth of keloids. In some cases 5-fu may be used as well to treat bad keloids. The doses are usually very small and safe. You should discuss your concerns with your surgeon.
