Few options: First scar formation is a process that takes around a year to complete. There for you will not know the final result of the scar until about a year after the injury. There are several cosmetic options including OTC scar pads (many patients I have don't think they do much), steroid injections, dermabrasion, cosmetic laser treatments. I would see a cosmetic Dermatologist to discuss these options.
