Difficult to know: If ultrasound shows that amniotic band is attaiched to the baby and is causing problem, special kind of surgery might be done.Surgery occurs while the baby is still in the mother’s uterusOnce bands are seen, a laser can be used to cut the bands and free the baby from them.e able to help the baby. ..Earliest amniotic bands have been detected at 12 weeks gestation, by vaginal ultrasound.
