Yes, and lethal: Bulimia "technically" consists of bingeing and purging, but the purging is the really dangerous part. Forced vomiting or the use of laxatives can cause dehydration and electrolyte imbalances that can be lethal. Repeated vomiting can lead to tears in the esophagus with severe blood loss. Please seek help from a counselor experienced in eating disorders. OA has been live-saving for many.
