A member asked:

What do you suggest if my friend just took 220 mg of paxil (paroxetine) what is going to happen to her?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Overdose?: If she took it on purpose, she needs to seek help immediately because she may be at risk to harm herself. It is likely to be very sedating, and probably knock her out for a while. That dose can cause serotonin syndrome as well, which can range from irritating to serious - it sounds like she needs medical attention. She may have taken other substances with it and hasn't mentioned it.
