Kidney malrotation: Kidney malrotation is usually not a problem unless it is affecting the drainage of the kidney. Indeed, many people have kidneys out of place and don't even know about it. If child is having problems such as urinary tract infections, then that could be due to the kidney problem. There are tests to determine how the kidney is both draining and functioning and your doctor may recommend these.
