Possibly yes: False negatives are more common than false positives on home pregnancy tests. A line can be faint if you are very early in your pregnancy and your hormones are not as strong. You can do another test to confirm the results or go to your doctor to have a test done. A blood test can be done as well which will give you a definite result.

Preg test: Not necessarily. The line has to be strongly positive and look like the test line. You may want to repeat the test or go in for a blood test.
