Probably not: Sounds as if you may have injured the insertion of the rectus muscle, which is pubic symphysis, similar to a muscle strain. It would be unusual for you to have subsequently created a hernia. If indeed you did, it would be a direct hernia, which is the floor of the inguinal canal. Put a heating pad on it, rest it, wait a couple of weeks and if it is still bothering you, see your MD
