A member asked:

Night sweats , shortness of breath , chest pain , hot flashes , can this be tb? pleuritis ? costochondritis ? had a cat scan and x-ray nothing showed

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See Doctor: Pleuritis at your age is rare. Costochondritis is a possible and common cause of chest pain in young people but it does not explain the hot flashes, night sweats and shortness of breath. TB is very rare in this country but if you have been exposed you may want to make sure you're in the clear. You may want to see your primary care physician for a workup.
