Sinus CT: Sinus CTs take a couple of minutes to do. Most are done without contrast so you do not need an IV unless your doctor is looking for an enhancing mass, which I doubt in your case. You just need to hold still and do not move through the scanner ( which is shaped like a doughnut). Good luck and feel better!

Would a brain MRI or CT scan cover sinuses? Would it detect nasal cancer or sinus cancer? Was not taken for problem related to sinus but wondering if radiologist would take images of this or interperet?
