The ear Ballance: System is being affected/inflamed by the head cold/allergies.The ear is connected to the upper respiratory system.

Vertigo: Most likely you develop a blockage of the Eustachian tube and an inner ear imbalance. Usually a antihistamine helps. If not, a prescription medication such as antivert (meclizine) is useful.
