Indeed...: Sometimes after radioactive iodine treatment the thyroid gland goes though a period of inflammation, which is not dangerous, just bothersome. Talk to your Dr. and see if he would prescribe a low dose of prednisone for just a week, or even a low dose of Indocin (indomethacin) for a couple weeks. Please do not worry, this is not serious

Throat or Thyroid?: You may have a sore throat, and think it is your thyroid, or it may be your thyroid with your history of Graves. See the Dr. ad have an exam and some routine testing to determine what is going on. Best wishes.
