Consult with doctor: You have the right to decline medication if you don't want to take medicine. Your doctor must have a reason for recommending medication therapy. Perhaps the reason has something to do with why you were sent to a psychiatrist in the first place. Talk it over with your doctor and make sure you understand why medication has been recommended.
