Good oral hygiene: is essential to proper healing of any oral surgery site. While you shouldn’t rinse for the first 24 hours, after that you should gently rinse 3- 4 times a day using warm salt water. Rinse after every food intake, making sure that the water removes any bits of food around the area where the tooth is missing. You can brush your teeth very gently.
