Without any physical activity my heart rate can go to 160-190 for 2-3 minutes and then back to 80-90. terrible feeling but what could be the reason?

A Fib: Sounds like atrial fibrillation.. definitely need to see your Dr, have this evaluated and treated. You might consider ER if this is new problem..

Not good: You need to see your doctor ASAP. Sounds as though you have an abnormality with your heart's electrical circuitry. You may have Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome. The doctor will do some studies to determine the abnormal electrical pathway that is driving these symptoms. Best of luck.
