Elevated Factor VIII: The literature that links inherited coagulation disorders (such as elevated factor VIII levels) to spontaneous abortion/fetal loss is large and contradictory so it is not clear that there is a link. In this case, with 4 previous losses a discussion of anticoagulation with your physician is warrented.
