POF needs both: Generally primary ovarian failure needs both estrogen and progesterone supplementation for tratment. You need to work closely with the treating physician as the therapies and doses may change.

No : Hi. No, period will not start on just estrogen (bleeding possible on just estrogen, but not a regular period). They'll give her 10 days of Provera (medroxyprogesterone) every 3 or 4 months, and the period will start when the Provera (medroxyprogesterone) STOPS.
