Chemical burn: Dettol is just a brand name - not sure which liquid it was, a topical body wash or a stronger disinfectant for the household. Regardless, it sounds like he has a chemical burn of the skin in the area you describe. Flush area hourly with clear, cool water. Make sure he is able to urinate ok. If skin starts to break down, peel, smell or drainage, then needs to see doctor immediately for burn care.
