A member asked:

If i don't get enough deep sleep vs light sleep could this be why i am always tired no matter how many hrs i sleep?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possibly: Sleep deprivation can cause fatigue, as does excessive sleep. However, you should still see your doctor to rule out thyroid disease. If you are feeling tired with associated mood changes and weight gain, it can be related to low thyroid hormone. If the symptoms are related to abnormal thyroid, you will feel better once on therapy.
