Rare: Narrowing at entrance of facial and cochlear nerve into the petrous bone. The Petrous bone is one of the 5 bones that make up the skull and is the hardest bone in the body. A Neuro-Otologist would perform a surgery to widen the narrowed portion. They operate in this area for all of their surgeries.
