You need : To read on the parricular car seat you are looking at. If he is shorter he would be beA in a high backed belted booster seat at this point . I can't strew that each seat is different and read!!

Carseat dependent : Under 4 years old I would recommended a forward facing carseat with a 5 point harness. Weight depends on the carseat recommendations
