Inside or out?: It is unclear from your description if the free fluid in the "stomach" means it is fluid in the abdomen (vs. within the stomach), in which case it would be called "ascites" and this would be abnormal and seen on CT scan. If there is similar fluid in the chest (usually right side), this may be due to liver disease from a variety of causes. Alternatively need to rule out heart disease and cancer
