A member asked:

Im using a medicine called bebecal does that have any side effect on my baby 1 month old?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes! Dangerous: This medication has no place in a parent's medicine cabinet. It contains diphenhydramine, choral hydrate, and bella donna. These could cause serious harm to an infant, especially an infant under 6 months. Instead of calming baby, which is their stated purpose, you could cause significant neurologic irritability, cardiac arrhymias and GI problems from poor feeding to vomiting. Throw them away!
