A member asked:

I keep throwing up i saw my doctor he thinks i have a virus my heart dr put me on sodium pills would that have anything to do with me throwing up?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: No - but your vomiting can be a cause of syncope which you mention as a condition. Also low BP causes nausea and vomiting. Sodium pills and midodrine are the treatment of choice for orthostatic hypotension, which seems to be an issue for you. Midodrine doesn't cause vomiting.
