Atarax (hydroxyzine) : One of the most common side effects of Atarax (hydroxyzine) is sedation - become very sleepy. This can be dangerous if driving or operating machinery, etc. Sedation usually lessens or disappears with continued use. Dry mouth is another common side effect.
