No: The heart rate is fine for someone your age who is healthy. The machine reads it as abnormal because it is slightly slow.

A 43-year-old male asked:
What does ECG report saying t wave inversion in III & avf means.
2 doctor answers • 4 doctors weighed in

Dr. Elden Rand answered
Cardiology 21 years experience
Nonspecific: The t wave is more commonly upright in those leads; when it is upside down (a negative deflection), it is inverted.
T wave inversion in leads iii and avf can represent normal findings, but in the appropriate clinical setting, can indicate that further evaluation of the heart is needed.

MFC: Reviewing the literature on this interesting concept. It does not have a large amount of literature or penetration into mainstream medicine. It is an predictor of presence or absence of coronary artery obstruction with similar claimed sensitivity and specificity to tests in wider use. Should discuss with your doctor whether you need some form of testing for cad.
