A member asked:

Since cirrhosis slows down the metabolism of alcohol, if alcohol was consumed would the breathalyzer reading be higher than a "normal" person?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possibly: Since alcohol is primarily metabolized by the liver, when the liver malfunctions because of cirrhosis this may result in higher blood alcohol levels than in people with normal livers.
