Consult G.Y.N.doctor: YourU/S revealing thick umbilical cord and small amount of fluid around baby heart is not normal ,but may be it is going go away (fluid) .Subsequent U/S may show some change in fluid around heart .Persuming there is no other abnormality seen on U/S ,Wish every thing is going to be normal

See MFM immediately: This is a pericardial effusion, and can be a sign of an inflammatory process or intrauterine infection that can compromise the baby's health. It is a good idea to see a maternal-fetal medicine OB-GYN, that specializes in high risk pregnancies, to repeat the Level II ultrasound and find out how serious this might be. Check with your regular OB first, but this needs to be addressed ASAP
