Why are stools brown but when you wipe it's yellow?

Bile pigment: Stool contains, among other things, a substance called bile which is produced by the gall bladder. Bile helps digest dietary fat. When a thin layer of stool is spread across toilet tissue, the greenish yellow color of bile is more readily visible than it is when it's in, well, a scoop of poop.

Normal brown stool bowel movement. When wiping it starts brown and changes shades, last wipe is yellowish. Normal? Stool is not yellow.
