It might be asthma..: It sounds like it might be an asthma attack. Sometimes asthma can develop later on in life. Different things may trigger it - an upper respiratory infection, allergens, smoke, etc It is crucial that you go to the ER right away if your are having acute symptoms like that. You will also need to get an EKG and possibly more tests to rule out a heart condition.
