Is it dangerous for a relatively healthy person without parkinson's or schizophrenia to take l-dopa?

Why do you want to ?: Pts with schizophrenia should generally avoid taking L-DOPA unless it is a last-ditch effort to address a movement disorder. It is well known that excessive amounts of dopamine do result in an increased quantity of the neurotoxic metabolites of dopamine which could potentially overwhelm the brains capacity to mange the reactive oxidative species. Please dont experiment!
