Potential causes: Many possible etiologies, including problems within brain, neck, middle and lower spines. Certainly, MS can present with leg weakness and spasticity, and often these initial lesions are within the spinal cord in the neck. But your description can apply to many other causes and best to have a neurologist assess the situation and decide an approach to confirm diagnosis.
